Have you ever experienced a time in your life when you simply couldn't get out of bed?  Depression or not, typically the reason for this debilitating sensation is due to living a life that doesn't feel authentic or purposeful. We may not know it at the time, but if you pay close enough attention, the universe is probably trying to tell you something.

In this episode of Purpose Lounge, Lindsey Murphy (a.k.a. Crazy Aunt Lindsey), the creator and host of The Official Fab Lab, shares her story of climbing the proverbial corporate ladder, achieving status and recognition, including earning a six-figure salary, which afforded her all of the accoutrements (i.e. beautiful home, fancy car, etc...), only to end up feeling so depleted and defeated that one morning, she simply couldn't get out of bed.

Tune in and hear how this millennial-entrepreneur and media sensation checked herself in the mirror and decided that the time was NOW to overcome her fear and feelings of inferiority.

By activating her network and finally listening to the universe, Lindsey successfully launched YouTube's popular kids' science web series that takes everyday science concepts and turns them into fabulous DIY projects children can do at home with their families. Since launching in 2010, the show has gone from being a low key side hobby to garnering partnerships with the likes of Scientific American Magazine, the New York Academy of Sciences, and Blue Star Donuts.

Before breaking out on her own in 2017, Lindsey spent more than 15 years in marketing and business development, at MTV Networks, Nike Inc., and Wieden+Kennedy.  Her specializations are in making content from the heart, digital consulting, audience + creative development.

Beyond the science and outside of the Fab Lab, Lindsey has appeared on stage and screen speaking publicly on important topics such as creative media and diversity in STEM, confidence, and dreaming big for women and girls.
