There are a million excuses that we will make to sabotage our dreams and prevent ourselves from living a life of purpose, especially if the purpose is considered decadent or frivolous. How do you make world travel your purpose? One might argue some of the most successful entrepreneurs have achieved this mission, including Richard Branson, and the late Anthony Bourdain. There's also, D'Laina Boynton.
D'Laina is a young professional with an MBA in the field of marketing and technology. She lives a very active lifestyle, always on the go, and involved in countless projects as a busy consultant in marketing and program management for some of the largest technology companies headquartered in the Pacific Northwest.
D'Laina's philosophy is that "travel should always be a part of your lifestyle - it's the only thing you buy that makes you richer." She's traveled to 28 countries on 6 continents, including living a year in China. She's decided to make it her purpose to help others achieve their travel goals!
In this episode of Purpose Lounge, D'Laina gives practical advice on the importance of planning and ways to save money and maximize your budget. For those of you enrolled in college or university, D'Laina talks about one program, in particular, Semester at Sea, which was the catalyst for some of her biggest travel adventures. She also talks about how she overcame the criticism that she received from people who simply didn't see the value in world travel.
I just know you're going to enjoy hearing D'Laina's stories of world travel, and her latest project, scheduled for "take off" in March of 2020.
